#110 - October 2007 Cover Temptation Following a tip off Patience, the Magdalena, is in Egypt dealing with a Mummy who’s keen to rejoin the land of the living. Having done her job she returns to the useless helicopter which got her to the desert and hears Sara’s request for help (see First Born #2) on her phone. After patching up her wounds she sets out across the desert. In the desert Patience comes across a rose garden where she is greeted by the Darkness, who tries to persuade her influence Sara to keep the baby close to Jackie. He heals her wounds and transports her to the safe house where Sara, Jackie and Dani are hiding (see First Born #2). Having reached her destination Patience dispatches the Darkness with the Spear of Destiny before joining Sara… Continued in First Born #3. #111 - November 2007 Cover Flights of Angels Dani awakes from a dream about a former Witchblade wielder to a call from a friend – she’s late for a breakfast date. Just as the waiter arrives to take their order the Witchblade comes to life and Dani has to make a quick exit. Once outside she’s confronted by the Angelus, who she recognises as Celestine (see Witchblade #109 and First Born #1). The Angelus asks Dani to join them, and when she refuses a fight ensues. The agents of the Angelus try to take the Witchblade, and Dani discovers she can fly, which allows her to escape and make her way to Sara… Continued in First Born #2. #112 - January 2008 Cover Shadows and Light In the aftermath of the events of First Born Sara and Hope are staying with Gleason while she looks for a new apartment. Sara goes out to meet Dani in the park and they chat about the new, split Witchblade. Suddenly the weather changes and out of nowhere come agents of the Angelus and Darkness. Sara and Dani fight them off, but it seems likely it won’t be last time they try to take Hope. Meanwhile, Jackie is making himself at home in Mexico. #113 - January 2008 Cover Life in Boxes Dani goes to see the Curator to try an shed some light on what it is she’s meant to do with the Witchblade. He’s typically unhelpful, but can suggest a good place for coffee. Sara’s found a new place in Greenwich Village and Gleason is helping her move in, although the Witchblade proves pretty helpful too. While checking out a window display Dani meets a handsome stranger who gallantly tries to defend her against some muggers. Needless to say Dani defends herself, but is happy to make the acquaintance of her would-be rescuer. #114 - February 2008 Choi Cover Basri Cover The Residents Sara’s still unpacking in her new home but she’s getting the feeling that some things are moving themselves. Dani’s would-be rescuer, David, takes her out for dinner. He’s English but well travelled and works as an antiques buyer, locating items for wealthy clients. Dani tells him about the Witchblade, which doesn’t seem to phase him much. Later that day Sara’s home alone and calls Gleason to ask him to come over after work. After checking on Hope Sara notices words spelt out in blocks, when she touches them a wind starts blowing and the door to Hope’s room slams shut and locks. Sara smashes through the door to find Hope being held by a ghostly woman. The ghost isn’t keen to give Hope back but the Witchblade makes short work of it. Gleason arrives to find them both safe and well. #115 - March 2008 Cover Divided Sara, with Hope, and Dani go about their separate lives for an issue. Sara and the Witchblade get a workout when an armed robber interrupts Sara while she’s buying diapers. Meanwhile Dani has her second date with David, who notices the absence of the Witchblade bracelet. At the end of the evening the two wielders catch up. #116 - April 2008 Cover Advent, part 1 of 3 Dani tells David what she knows of the history of the Witchblade, while Sara visits her sister Julie in prison. The two have quite a catch up; Julie’s clean and thrilled to be an aunt. Dani and David are getting intimate when the Witchblade goes a little crazy and tries to strangle David. Having recovered, they try to pick up where they left off when a crossbow bolt comes through the window. David thinks the bolt is from ‘an old friend’. Sara gets called back to Manhattan as three crucified bodies have been found in a subway tunnel. The crucifixions seem to mirror the deaths of three of the apostles, so Sara and Gleason think there might be more to come… #117 - May 2008 Cover Advent, part 2 of 3 Sara and Gleason meet the fourth victim of their serial killer, a man who’s been flayed alive before being crucified. While taking a look around the crime scene Sara’s bothered by a journalist named Gretch again. When she grabs Sara’s wrist the Witchblade scratches her. Somewhere old and dark a hooded man with a crossbow asks God for help in his mission. Dani is babysitting Hope, and David comes over to keep her company. When Sara gets home she finds Dani out cold and David in possession of the Witchblade and keen to get Sara’s half too. In a flashback to the third Century we see four men drink from the Holy Grail and become immortal, one of these men is Kenneth Irons… #118 - June 2008 Elsewhere we see a green haired woman being sent on a new mission… #119 - July 2008
